This is a picture from a sequence I shot in 2008 at Baratpur. I saw this Jackal at the far end of a small mud road and decided to to stay on my four in the middle of the road. Thinking possibly of as easy prey, the Jackal started charging at me. When the image was not so clear through my lens ( 600 mm with 1.4 TC ) I knew it was too close to me and decided to raise my head. The animal froze for a second, turned and went in to the biush. It was an experience.. may be foolish! This is a full frame image. Not digitally altered.
